Customer Rating: Summary: GREAT LIGHT FIXTURES Comment: Where we live, in the cold state of Wisconsin, there are not a lot of warm summer nights to enjoy. Last year, I purchased 8 of these lights from a local retailer, and was glad to see that they didn't need any wires or extra electricity. Where our patio is (in the backyard) there is a nice view of the moon, and on cloudy nights, all you get is dark, dark, and guess what... more dark. Well anyway, I decided that I would put these lights outside. As soon as I finished putting them in the planting areas along a path, it got dark. I came out about 2 hours later, expecting to see a lot of darkness, considering there was no moon, but I didn't thanks to these wonderful solar lights. I had positioned them on the path so they would make light go downwards, towards the ground. As I walked around looking at them, I noticed that one of them was out. I went over there and twisted the head so that the light sensor would face into darkness, and the light automatically turned on. The bottom line on these solar lights is that they are nice when positioned properly, give a reasonable light output, and are very simple to install. Customer Rating: Summary: If you want more brightness try this. Comment: I have these mounted lights also but first you need to ask if they are the amber or white lights. The white solor lights emit a brighter light. Then you need to replace the low voltage battery with a 1000mAh because it does emit a little more brighter light and it keeps the charge longer. I even put these higher voltage batteries in my older solor lights and they did make a difference on brightness and longer charge. Mine were still charging with snow on them which I was amazed compare to the lower voltage battery that came with them. I have tested and researched solor lights on a consumer level. I have 8 different types of solar lights. Customer Rating: Summary: DISATISFIED Comment: I LIKED THE SIMPLICITY TO MOUNT THE LIGHTS ON MY DECK GIVING JUST THE PROPER LIGHT,HAD MANY COMPLEMENTS ON THE LIGHT FIXTURES SPECIALLY AT NIGHT.THE ONLY DRAWBACK IS THAT THE CLEAR PLASTIC ABOVE THE SOLAR PANEL GETS OPAQUE FROM THE SUNS UV RAYS AND THEY DON'T CHARGE THE BATTERIES ENOUGH DURING THE DAY TO KEEP THE LIGHTS ON FOR A LONG TIME AT NIGHT.IF THERE'S IS A WAY TO PREVENT THE CLEAR PLASTIC FROM OBSCURING THE SUNLIGHT BECAUSE PLASTIC GETS OPAQUE AFTER 2 YRS IT WOULD BE GREAT.I WOULD LIKE TO PURCHASE THE SAME LIGHTS AGAIN,BUT NOT IF THEY ONLY LAST A COUPLE OF YEARS. Not enough light to annoy the neighbors. Perfect for our needs.
