Summary: This is a great light!
Comment: I admit I was hesitant on forking $40 for a desk light, but my only other choices were the cheap incadescent lights which are big and bulky or a fluorescent light with a long springy arm. (I live in a dorm where halogen lights are banned) But I'm glad I did buy this light; it is quite small for a desk light and because it is fluorescent, the light cast does not give objects a yellowish-tint; it is a pure-white light. I am very happy with this light and I would recommend it!

Comment: I use this lamp for studying, and I generally don't like to be tied down to my desk when I'm reading for school. The lamp is compact and light enough that I can move it from my desk to the living room with no trouble at all. The amount of light it emits, and the brightness is absolutely wonderful. Definitely worth the purchase.
