Summary: I thought I found a bargain...was I ever wrong
Comment: I really liked the idea of wireless headphones (who doesn't?) as it's one less cable to trip over, or step on and break, and the only set I ever saw was down at my local music store for like $200. I have always liked Amazon for the great price breaks one can get here, so I did a search and decided that these, with the Sony name, at that price was an unbelievable value. My dad always told me that whatever seems too good to be true usually is, and that was definitely the case in this instance. These headphones SUCK period.They dont have great fidelity and the hissing noise is intolerable. DON'T BUY THESE HEADPHONES! Amazon, I'd advise you to drop them from your catalogue.

Summary: Expected more from sony in 2006!
Comment: I use them for TV. Have been using an old sony wireless headset for like 4 years (paid $200 bucks for them at a sony store when they first came out). Thought this newer model would improve on the noise issue. It does not. Why can't I find wireless earphones that are as good as my wireless tlephone?

Summary: I have bee using these headphones for days now and the are GREAT!!
Comment: I just got done with mowing the lawn with these headphones on and it worked perfectly! The trasmitter was over 100 ft. away inside in my upstairs beadroom. These headphones are amazing!! I also use this headphones to listen to the sound of my XBOX 360 and it was amazing to hear all of these sounds that I had never heard before in the game, now comming to life. The most importaint thing to remember to make these headphones work their best is to turn the volume all the way up on whatever you are using to play the sounds...then to just adjust the volume on the headphones so the sound is at a comfortable level. The charge lasts a whole night, which i have tested myself. Another plus about these is that the audio quality it superb! The Bass is rich and deep. Lastly the headpones themselves are extremely comfortable. I would highly reconmend these wireless headpohnes to anyone. Do not believe the bad reviews!! I took a chance and bought them, and it turned out to be one of the greatest buys I have ever found. Thank You Sony and thank you Amazon.com!!

Summary: Sony name don't mean a thing on this junk
Comment: I replaced a cheaper pair of Acoustic Research wireless headphones with this more expensive model from Sony. Bought it at the store without researching (bad move) and largely on the strength of the Sony brand name (I should know better).
I have been very disappointed in their performance. There is hissing and noise all the time. There is no on/off switch. The tuning dial is not conveniently located for me--I keep having to take the headphones off to adjust the dial. And they don't fit very comfortably either.
Steer clear of this junk.

Summary: Not quite impressed
Comment: I just bought these headphones, despite some not-so-good opinions about them. My previous headphones were Technics (wired), and I really wish they had wireless solutions. But they don't, so I picked Sony. I have to say that my first impression was a "wow!": the ergonomics are perfect, the headset is very lightweight and you can almost forget you are wearing it, and the whole kit is very stylish and good looking.
A coulpe hints for first-timers:
* Let the batteries charge completely before first use. A green light will stay on while charging, and it will go off when the batteries are ready.
* Turn the volume all the way up in your audio equipment. Let the headphones control the volume. This is important to get a good strong signal from the base.
* The on/off switch is built in the headband, so the headphones turn themselves on when you wear them (or pull the headband), and go off when you take them out.
I've been wearing them for about a couple hours now, and it still feels quite comfortable. And while the audio quality is what I expected of Sony, I must say that the wireless solution is not very good: I have the base unit at barely 3 feet away, and I get static sometimes!. Very disappointing. Static goes away after a while though, but sometimes it comes back when you move around.
Also, I bought an extra set for a friend, and we used them for PC audio. It was very annoying that sometimes my headphones picked his signal, and the other way around too. The base has 3 channels you can manually select, but the headset has only an auto-tunning button that you must click until you pick the right signal.
All in all, I have to say that the headphones are ok, but not a bit more than that. Good audio (when you manage to get no static), excellent ergonomics, regular (almost poor) wireless solution, very good looking.
