Customer Rating: Summary: do not buy this product Comment: I bought this product 2 months ago. Sound quality is extremely bad, and it gives lots of noise to the outside. when i use those headphones in public transportation, people ask me to decrease the volume.
Noise cancelling function is totally useless. when you turn it on, it only increases the volume level.
anyway, do not buy this product. it is just waste of money.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great value for the money Comment: I tried several noise canceling headphones (including other SONY models) before settling on these. The noise cancellation is one of the best I've experienced. They also have good electrical sensitivity which means you will get pretty good sound volume from most MP3 player outputs (this was not the case with several other models I tried). I only wish the headphone design enclosed your ear completely for better sound isolation but, for this money, I think I'm asking too much.... You can't go wrong on these.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good Product - best price Comment: The product arrived in just a few days and in excellent shape. I enjoy the comfort of the headsets and the added value of the noise-canceling feature. The sound quality is very good. I looked at Target, Walmart and Best Buy before making this purchase and saved over $20.00 (including the shipping charges) with Amazon.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Headphones Comment: My brother has these headphones and i sometimes use them and they arew great. Although everybody says the hissing sound is annoying you can only hear it when you aren't listening to anything and have them on the noise cancelling feature, but when you listen to music with the feature you don't hear it at all. Overall i think that this is a great pair of headphones and are really cheap.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not bad bang for the buck Comment: Unfortunately my first experience with noice-cancelling headphones were Bose QuietComfort 2's, so pretty much anything I try from here on out is going to sound like a disappointment. Putting that aside I was always interested in these headphones because they were only 35 dollars and the design was clean and simple. I decided to buy these and try em out and this is what I thought so far:
Pros
1. Noise cancelling feature isn't the best but it does the job. The hissing sound bothered me at first but when you actually listen to music you don't notice it at all.
2. The design is very simple and sleek, like I mentioned earlier. I never liked full size headphones when commuting or going to school; it was just too much
Cons
1. The sounds could be a lot better. People earlier mention the lack of bass and they're right. Overall sound is acceptable, but this can be improved by changing EQ settings on your iPod or whatever you use
2. Feels cheap. Granted that retail it's 70 dollars quality isn't going to be top notch but I expected more especially from Sony. The headband is made of plastic and it feels like 1 wrong move and it's busted and this is why I have started to shy away from Sony products in general; their quality isn't what it used to be.
Overall I would recommend these to those who are on a very strict budget. The sub 50 dollar market for headphones is very limited and overall Sennheiser will probably offer you the best options, but if noice-cancelling is a must then I would take a hard look at these. I think my opinion would be more positive towards this set if I had not owned Bose QuietComfort 2's at first, but putting that aside I'm not going to say I was blown away by these headphones but they are definately satisfactory.

With these Sony noise-canceling headphones you enjoy more music and while limiting other noise. A built-in noise-canceling circuit produces an anti-sound signal that synthesizes ambient noise giving you a quieter listening environment. Headphones also feature a slim swivel folding design for easy storage, powerful neodymium magnets, an in-flight plug adapter and carrying pouch.
