Customer Rating: Summary: Projection will fail after a year-too bad I loved the clock Comment: I am on my 3rd clock in 3 years and the projection has failed every time on each of them. Do not buy this product. Not worth it for having to replace it every year. When I bought it there wasn't much of a choice on the market. The first time it failed I thought it was related to me knocking it off the nighstand by mistake. If Oregon Scientific gets their act together it would be a great product. I think the great reviews are by people that haven't owned the product for a long time!! I was one of them!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Packaging ruins the gift-ability Comment: I have one of these clocks. It did just crap out after about three years. I loved it though, and once you've had one you don't want to live without it. I've also bought many online and given them as gifts. They were packaged nicely in a glossy board box. I just ordered another from Amazon to replace mine, and it is now packaged in that hard clear plastic shaped to fit the product (which comes out as an odd shaped package) that you can't open without shears. It really cheapens the look of an otherwise kind of cool item. I've given a couple as wedding gifts, they were priced so I could afford them (not as cheap as the 49.95 here, but...) and they could be elegantly wrapped. These are now packaged the same way as a 5.99 Star Wars Action figure. I wonder if the product inside is made more cheaply as well. They didn't last that long anyway, so is that why the lower price?
Customer Rating: Summary: Product is Awsom!! Comment: This is one cool product. The cool thing about this is that you don't have to use a ac adaptor no more just batteries, which I have alot. It Rocks! Rocks!
Customer Rating: Summary: Buyer Beware Comment: After a year of use, all displays went out and the clock alarmed continuously. Batteries were replaced and the clock reset. I took the clock back to the local Oregon Scientific retailer and the best they could do for me, after doing what I did at home, was give me a toll-free customer service call number. Needless to say, I have been on hold for nearly thirty minutes now, as I share my frustration with Oregon Scientific's product and customer service.

With the Oregon Scientific BAR338PA ExactSet Projection Alarm Clock you can keep your pretty little head on the pillow in the morning. Just tap the snooze button & the clock will momentarily project the time on the wall or ceiling in soft red light. You can even rotate the projector forward 90 degrees if needed. And being an ExactSet clock, it automatically sets it's own time, day, & date via the US Atomic Clock in Boulder, Colorado. It automatically connects to the Atomic Clock 6 times a day via it's built-in radio receiver. It even adjusts for Daylight Savings Time & Leap Year. Day-of-week in one of 3 languages - English, French, Spanish Alarm - Crescendo Battery Type - 2 AAA
