Summary: charming, but really small
Comment: It's nice. It does what you'd hope - be a candle-flickering type thing, but be safe to use. Just be aware that it's really small, smaller than the packaging looks somehow.

Comment: The materials feel strong and sturdy, but the color was definitely much oranger than I expected and it was smaller than I would've liked. It wasn't quite worth the current price point, in my opinion.

Summary: Get a candle look without the hassle
Comment: These are great! I did not believe it until I saw it but they really do look like a candle complete with "flicker" and all. Everyone that sees it has no idea it is not a real candle. the advantage is safety with kids and great for our garden that can get very windy...no blowing out of the candle every 5 minutes. A great gift I will be giving away alot of this holiday. color of light is very natural not halloween at all.

Comment: We love these LED candle lights. The other reviewer is correct in that the color is more of an orangish glow that the yellow glow depicted by the photos at yahoo. If you go to Philip' Web site they have some VERY accurate photos if you want to see the true color.
But honestly, I think I like their color better than the photos [...]. I think true candle color would be 1/2 way in-between, but so much is dependant on the glass you have a real candle in.
As far as limited battery life, I am not sure why everyone (referring to all the ipod hoopla with its battery) is surprised batteries that you recharge have a limited lifespan. That has always been the case (cordless phones, etc.) it is just now products tell you what they are up front. In the case of these candles that lifespan is 600 charges.
600 charges x 10 hours of light = 6,000 hours of light. Sounds fine to me! Hmm, how much would 6,000 hours of tea light candles cost...
Anyway, what I like about the product:
- gives off no smoke, air quality not impaired
- kids can't get burnt
- wonderfully real flicker effect
- no icky wax to contend with
- can put places would never put a candle
- the "candle" portion has a round base similar in size to a tealight, meaning you can use these in other fixtures besides the nice, heavy glass that comes with them
- can charge up to 4 at a time (you have to buy that many of course, only 1 candle per package).
