Comment: Doubt I'll be seeing this ad on TV but wish I could. LOLOL! Not to mention there is not a man on the planet that doesn't need one of these things. Pure genius, whoever came up with it! (I almost think it HAD to be a woman.)

Summary: Worked perfectly
Comment: Product worked perfectly. I'm going in for surgery soon and thought I'd deny the nurses the great pleasure of shaving me with their Bics (usually with no shaving cream). As a result here I am clean as a newborn. I had lots of fine, curly hair and it's ALL GONE. I probably went beyond the surgery area, but once started it's hard to stop! I didn't use any of the combs, just the cutter. No cuts, scrapes, hair pulling etc. Nice to find something that works as advertised. Recommended.

Summary: Only does one area well...
Comment: Originally, I was looking for a trimmer to keep my beard to managable lengths. I was pretty sure that this thing wasn't designed to take care of that, but I figured I'd get it anyway, as there were other areas that needed a trim as well.
First, as most reviews have said, this thing is worthless when wet. It's not like it just doesn't cut close...it doesn't cut *at all.*
Unfortunately, what most reviews don't tell you is that it's almost as worthless when dry.
I tried in on the back of my neck/shoulders, and it failed miserably. Even with the guards off, where it's supposed to "completely" remove the hair, it barely made a dent. Ok...maybe that hair is too thin/wispy...so I tried something a bit thicker, and went for my beard.
It shaved close there, but was very patchy. Fine, so maybe it works better on thicker, coarse hair. On to the armpits. Yeah, useless there as well. I pulled the skin there as tight as I could, stuck my arm in weird positions, did everything I could to make it easy to shave in that area. Nothing. Completely failed.
Ok, fine. There's one other area that this thing may be able to redeem itself in. I mean, a standard straight-blade razor can take care of the rest, but unless I want to change my religion, a straight-blade isn't going anywhere south of the belt line.
I will say this...on the groin, this thing works pretty well. Cleans things up nicely using the biggest guard. On the "boys," however, it's a no-go. Just doesn't work for a damn. When/where it *does* work, it's totally painless, so no problems there. But for $40, this thing needs to work in more than just one area.

Summary: Read the instructions!
Comment: I just used the trimmer for the first time this morning, and I'm very satisfied with the results. I find that the positive reviews thus far have been on the mark. To optimize your experience, I suggest reading thru the included instructions. The trimmer requires an initial eight hour charge. Also, don't leave the trimmer continously charging. Doing so will drastically reduce the life of the battery. Here's a direct quote from the instructions: "Do not use the Groomer to shave or trim facial or scalp hair. The Groomer should only be used on skin below the neckline." That should address some of the negative reviews. As for myself, I really liked that you could either push or pull the trimmer to get better access to some areas. (Note if you are using the blue plastic guides, you'll have to flip them around to trim in the opposite direction.) Depending on how much hair you have, the blue guides will clog especially if this is the first time you trimmed a particular area. This is not unexpected and a quick poof of air on the trimmer resolves the problem. I suspect this will be less of an issue when you get the hair down to size and are simply maintaining the length. Go slow! It's easy to want to rush especially when you are getting near the end. Take your time and your patience will be rewarded. If you have a lot of hair, it might take more than one initial session to get the results you want. Personally, I'm happy with the purchase and the price. I would definitely recommend this product to others.
